INDIA Bloc’s Ramlila Rally Faces Traders’ Opposition | ₹12,000 Crore Trade at Stake? | Gyanesh Kumar

The INDIA bloc’s November 1 rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan is facing opposition from traders’ associations, who fear that the large gathering could disrupt business during the crucial pre-Diwali shopping season. The Chamber of Trade and Industry (CTI) has appealed to Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, as well as INDIA bloc allies including Akhilesh Yadav and Mamata Banerjee, to postpone the rally until after November 10–11 or shift it to another venue. The traders’ body has warned that business worth ₹10,000–12,000 crore across around 20 major wholesale and retail markets could be affected. It has also flagged inadequate parking and the possibility of traffic congestion, with an expected gathering of around 10 lakh people and 15,000–20,000 vehicles. The INDIA bloc, meanwhile, plans to hold the rally as part of its campaign against alleged electoral irregularities and its demand for Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar’s removal. -news CNN-News18 is your trusted source for breaking news, updates, and in-depth analysis from around the world.
